Groundwater pollution is a major problem in most countries, including Morocco. The objective of this study assessment of water quality index in Sidi Slimane. Water quality index, principal component analyses and hierarchical cluster analyses are applied to assess water quality of the groundwater in Sidi Slimane. Twelve physicochemical parameters focused on in the study were analyzed in water samples collected from 20 different well located in study area. The values of WQI for the study region are between 44.03 and 127.11. The results show that (15 %) of samples are Excellent water, (65 %) are good and (20 %) are very poor. Where, the results of PCA is the same results of WQI, where indicate that most of the groundwater is suitable for direct use for drinking.
