This study is a contribution in the contemporary dimension of social media’s extension that is Facebook. In present study, researcher’s endeavor was to view the association of three main facets related with the usage of smart phones. The one was to disclose the actual reaction of the smart phone users while getting the Facebook notifications all the time when they are log in. The second is expanding the reasons due to which smart phone users get pleasure or irritation while receiving the notifications. Third is exploring the relation between anxiety, pleasure and usage of smart phones. Through a survey research comprising on close ended questions from 430 university students, researcher drawn the results and concluded that there are frequent number of users who do not get irritate while at the time of receiving the Facebook notifications. Rather they do not bother even they get any of the notifications. Besides, the users who get pleasure at the time of receiving notifications are those who tend to remain involve on social media all the time. Still, users do not prefer to turn on their notification ringtone that shows they do not tend to keep themselves engage on social media activities and choose to use it in their free time only. The study concludes that although the devices like smart phone are blessing for those who wants to remain in touch with their friend and family all the time, but still it causes few sort of problems to those who are do not prefer to use it all the time in their actual life.
