This paper presents a novel multi-band frequency reconfigurable antenna for various wireless applications. To achieve frequency agility a BAR63-03 PIN diode is used. The diode tunes the antenna from 0.7 GHz to 4.92 GHz frequency range and operates at ten frequency bands. The proposed antenna exhibits VSWR<2 for all the resonating frequencies. Computer simulation technology software tool is used to analyze scattering parameters, surface current distributions, and patterns of the antenna proposed. The performance of the antenna proposed is analyzed based on VSWR, return loss, gain, and radiation pattern. Fabrication and measurement of the antenna proposed are done and it is found that results of measured and simulated are found to be in good agreement.
