Abstract

The adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) is gaining momentum as consumers increasingly prioritize sustainability and cost efficiency in their transportation choices. This article examines the key drivers influencing consumer preference towards EVs, including environmental concerns, economic benefits, technological advancements, and social influences. Despite significant progress, barriers such as high upfront costs, limited model availability, range anxiety, and infrastructure challenges still hinder widespread adoption. Toaddress these issues, strategies such as education and awareness campaigns, financial incentives, infrastructure investment, product diversification, and collaborative partnerships are essential. Understanding and addressing consumer needs and concerns will be crucial in promoting the widespread adoption of electric vehicles and fostering a sustainable future forthe automotive industry.
