Abstract

Currently, a need has arisen to expand the intellectual strength of students who participate in sports activities to improve their lifestyle within the framework of sports activities and in other large and accelerated contexts. Developing intellectual strength in students of sports schools is one of the essential ways to ensure their mental well-being, which is why studies in this field prove to be of considerable importance. To this end, it is essential to adapt and validate a modern and beneficial level of mental resilience skills. The objective of this text is therefore to realize a model of the Psychological-Alternative Performance Inventory (PPI-A) for middle school students in sports high schools. The participants in the study were 255 football students from sports high schools in Tunisia, aged 15 to 18 years. An analysis of the confirmatory factors (CFA) was carried out using the AMOS and LISREL software. The correlation coefficients and the extracted mean variances were calculated using the AMOS and LISREL software and the Excel program. These signs were used to confirm the convergence and discriminate validity of the questionnaires. The reliability of the questionnaire was demonstrated using the alpha and Cronbach's, the McDonald's omega. Structural equation modelling showed an appropriate adjustment of the (PPI-A) to a four-factor Model. Validity and reliability analyses revealed an impressive level of internal consistency between the factors. Given the appropriate psychometric properties, the Tunisian model in Arabic of the "Alternative Psychological Performance Inventory (PPI-AA)" can be used in research aimed at increasing the intellectual power of knowledge in the sports activities of secondary school students. Other studies in the form of this tool are also justified to validate the questionnaire for different samples.
