In December 2019, a new illness emerged, resulting in one of the biggest global health disasters ever
recorded. The virus, named 'SARS-CoV-2' causes coronavirus disease. Later on, the World Health
Organization (WHO) referred to it as 'COVID-19'. The rapid spread of this disease over the world shocked
and alarmed the public. The study aimed to discover the public's source of awareness about the pandemic
Covid-19. It also evaluated the people's opinion on which way of medicinal treatment they found effective
for treating COVID-19 and finally found the public's opinion about the responsible role of the media in
spreading awareness among the masses about the Corona Virus and its safety rules. The research
discussed the results through the prism of the Magic Bullet theory and shed light on the role of the media
as an agent of mind peace and public health policy. The statistical analysis in the study shows that social
media is the most effective and interactive medium for serving the masses in the strict nationwide lockdown
situation. Allopathic and herbal treatments were found to be prevalent as remedies for the patients.
However, people preferred herbal therapy as a precautionary treatment.
